Don’t forget that Melbourne Farmers Markets are still operating in some Melbourne locations (VegOut St Kilda, Carlton, Coburg, Alphington and Gasworks, Albert Park) but with the Collingwood Childrens Farm market relocated to the Melbourne Food Hub at Alphington, opposite the train station. The Abbotsford Convent market has been suspended but will resume trading on September 26. The markets have been operating under strict COVID-19 guidelines and as open air markets they are probably the safest form of in person shopping you can do. You can also play it extra safe and order your produce through the Melbourne Farmers Marketplace and pick up your order on Sundays (between 3-5pm) from Alphington or a new pick up point at Small Talk Events Space in Abbotsford. Other on line alternatives include weekly subscriptions for produce bags from the Melbourne Food Hub or if you prefer to choose what organic produce goes into your box order online from the Ceres Community Farm store.
